Vroom vroom

I’ve driven past the Cleveland History Center about 200 times. I’ve always wondered what’s inside but never got around to, you know, going inside.

And then you find yourself driving home after a failed attempt to photograph the waves on Lake Erie and you think, “Hey, maybe I should go to the Cleveland History Center.”

It’s a pretty cool place with lots of historical artifacts and exhibits. I particularly liked the women’s history exhibit and the fashion exhibit. There were also some paintings in one part of the museum (forget which one) that had a beautiful painting of MLK.

The best part of the museum though? The cars. The museum is attached to an auto museum! I’m not a car buff, but it was pretty cool to see cars from the late 1800s and early 1900s. The docent there was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the cars. I learned that rubber isn’t actually black. Its natural color is white. Who knew?

About the photos

This was just a leisurely visit, so I wasn’t looking to photograph anything in any particular manner. Just document a cool visit to a cool museum.

The photos are a bit noisy, but I recently read a blog post somewhere saying that noise is worth sacrificing for a sharp photo. So I decided the trade-off was worth it. I could always use the denoise feature in Lightroom if I want.
