Editing in Lightroom
Found an excellent video for improving your editing workflow in Lightroom!
This video was really helpful for me. The step-by-step breakdown was easy for me to understand, and I tried some of the techniques in my own photos.
Take these photos for example.
I took these photos today. It was overcast today (surprise surprise), but I went outside anyway. This composition caught my eye.
In the RAW, everything’s quite flat. In the edited image, the pinks of the tree really pop, and so does the green of the grass. Overall, it looks a bit brighter and vibrant. I used the color mixer for that.
I used the masking tool to bring up the exposure for the tree so it would stand out more, too.
Overall, I just like that the edited photo seems to have a bit more.
Second example:
I took this photo just a few minutes before my guitar lesson today. The colors SOOC are nice, but I wanted to add some vibrancy and contrast to the image a bit. The color mixer came in handy here again. I feel like the image has a bit more depth to it.
