Poetry @ Kaiser Gallery
I’ve never been particularly good at writing poetry. Growing up, I gravitated towards writing fiction.
However, I like listening to poetry. About a year ago, I started going to open mic nights at Kaiser Gallery in Tremont. I go every month if I have time.
Last night’s open mic night was great because so many regulars returned for the first time in several months. The place was so full that our emcee, Delia, had to get some extra chairs.
In addition to enjoying poetry by some wonderful artists, I also challenged myself to not be afraid to get some photos during the event. That flip screen on the X-T5 came in very handy because I was able to shoot from the hip.
I really like all of the photos because I see emotion in them.
