Deanna and the failed attempt to see tiger cubs

I went to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo today, hoping to get a glimpse of the new tiger cubs that were born in November. I think there’s a naming contest going on for them.

It was (surprise) a cold, dreary day, so the cats weren’t out. I decided to use the time to get my steps in and see some other animals. I encountered:

  • a flock of flamingos that were fighting, I wonder who started it

  • a lion and lioness

  • several monkey and lemurs

  • a very colorful macaw

About the photos

I brought my bag with all my lenses to the zoo, but I didn’t need it because I used the 18-55 kit lens. I didn’t quite understand the hype about this lens when I first got it, but I think I see it now. It really is a nice zoom lens. The pictures all came out quite nicely: the animals are in focus, nice and sharp, and not blurry!
