Content Day 2 with Recognizze Studios

I woke up on Sunday fully intending to stay in and do nothing. Continue my re-watch of The West Wing. Maybe step outside to pick up some pizza from Dewey’s. And get a caesar salad, because why not?

Instead, I connected with an awesome photographer named Asia over Instagram, and she invited to me join Recognizze Studios for their monthly Content Day event. Content Day is an opportunity for photographers, videographers, and models to get together to create amazing content.

After we chatted, I grabbed my gear and zipped down to University Circle. I had a lunch at Sittoo’s before walking over to the Cleveland Museum of Art for the event.

It was great seeing so many photographers, videographers, and models in one place. I really haven’t networked with other photographers in the Cleveland area. Mostly because I don’t know where other photographers hang out in the city or what groups are out there.

My first shoot was with Riri, who was great to work with and had some beautiful outfits for the shoot! We got some great shots around the lake and near the CMA building. I also got some shots with Katherine in the Fine Arts Garden. Her poses were amazing!

After I finished working with Katherine, I felt a bit lost. Many of the other models were working with other photographers, and I thought that I had to wait my turn. But then I noticed that even though one model was working with one photographer, other photographers would jump in and grab some shots. That made me feel a bit more comfortable to jump in and take some photos, too.

Towards the end of the event, all of the models did a final walk. Everyone’s outfits were so good.

The runway walks–stunning.

Me? I legitimately trip over air. I could never.

Unfortunately, I did experience some snafus with my camera during the final walk. I did use continuous shooting mode (high burst), and after a few seconds, my Fuji froze up on me. I had to wait for the camera to reset before I could continue shooting. I’m not sure if that’s common with the X-T5 or not.

My Viltrox 75mm produced some beautiful images, as it always does. I’ll never let that lens go as long as I’m shooting with Fuji. If I do make the switch to Sony (which I’m seriously contemplating for a better autofocus experience), I think I’d rebuy the lens for the E-mount.

Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’m so glad I didn’t stay in and eat pizza and watch The West Wing. I definitely plan to go to the next one.
