A hike at Edgewater
Yesterday, I went on a group hike along Edgewater beach. We weren’t sure if the weather would hold up, but it did. Right around 6 o’clock, the sun broke through the clouds. I was glad because it had been gloomy and humid all day.
The sun disappeared at times throughout the hike as we made our way from the top of Edgewater Park down to the beach house. We eventually ended up at a bar I’d never been to called Terrestrial Brewing Company. It’s located in Battery Park, yet another part of Cleveland I have yet to explore.
We made our way back down to the beach (after making everyone wait because I left my phone in the bathroom again) just in time for golden hour! It was such a sight. The sun finally dropped low beneath the clouds. The lingering fog from the day plus the sunlight made the beach look beautiful, like something out of a movie. I managed to capture a picture of my first sun star!
I used the 33mm f/1.4 for the hike. Unfortunately, the lens is still giving me trouble: sometimes I get the f0 error, and sometimes I see flashing on the viewfinder after I take a photo. I honestly think the focusing element is loose in the lens. I’m going to take a video and send it to Lensrentals.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to the Cleveland Asian Festival this weekend. I’m fully prepared to try all sorts of food and get some great pictures of the festival. I’ll probably be up early to get the best parking I can!
